Taste of the Himalayas

Taste of the Himalayas is located at 1700 Shattuck Avenue at the corner of Virginia in Berkeley. The restaurant phone number is 510-849-4983. Their hours are 11:30 a.m. to 10:00 p.m., but they are closed every day from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. They serve a delicious buffet until 3:00 p.m.

This Nepalese and Indian restaurant serves absolutely delicious food. The service is very good and the owner is a great guy. I don't know if this story is true, but I heard that he used to be a server at this location when it was Kurry Klub. He eventually bought the restaurant and made it Taste of the Himalayas.

It's a great place to go for special occasions. Last Valentine's Day, the owner walked around and personally handed everyone a red rose. There was also a free dessert for this special day.

This is one of my favorite Berkeley restaurants because the food is so delicious, the ambiance is nice, and the service is pretty good.
