It's in the Gourmet Ghetto section of Berkeley. Dara Lao/Thai Cuisine is right next door to Cha-Am. Their locations almost seem like they're the same place, so be careful of which door you walk into. Also, it may be tempting to head over to Dara because the wait will probably be shorter, but I feel the food at Cha-Am is really much better and worth the wait.

The Thai food at Cha-Am is delicious. The one problem I have with this North Berkeley restaurant is that the acoustics aren't good so it gets really noisy. It's very difficult to have a conversation. Forget about a romantic dinner here.
